Trading gold (XAUUSD) automatically during the Asian session
Why the quiet Asian hours are a useful time to trade gold breakouts, how stops are placed, and what to expect from an automated gold strategy.
Gold is one of the most traded markets in the world, and it moves differently at different times of day. Arrissa REX 9 AI trades two gold sessions, both early in the day, before the London open.
Why the early hours
During the Asian session gold often builds a tight range. When European traders arrive, or when scheduled news lands, that range can break. A breakout strategy measures the recent volatility, sets a level above and below the price, and enters when one of them is reached.
How the trades are managed
- Every trade has a stop at the broker, so it is protected even if the connection drops.
- Stops and targets are set as multiples of the measured volatility, so they widen on busy days and tighten on quiet ones.
- Positions are closed within a few hours. Nothing is held overnight.
What to expect
Gold strategies have losing streaks, and gold can move very fast around news. Some days the bot does not trade gold at all because the news filter has no reason to expect a move. Each gold trade appears in the chat when it opens and when it closes.
Start the bot, watch your free $10,000 demo trade, and connect your Exness account when you are ready.
Gold uses 100 ounces per lot at Exness, so even 0.01 lot moves about $1 for every $1 change in price. The bot sizes this for you from your balance and risk temperature.
